Keeladi, Sivaganga district

Keezhadi is in the vaigai river bank of Sivaganga District very near to Madurai of Tamil Nadu. It’s situated on the way from Madurai to Rameswaram and famous for its archaeology excavation site in Keeladi and Kondagai, which dates back to Vaigai Civilization during 6 BCE. Ancient Pandian period Sivan temple carries stone inscriptions are also evident in this village. It’s first of Kind in Tamil Nadu Village having Rural Museum near to the Excavation site itself.
