Piranmalai, Sivaganga district

Marudham Eco System - A Village with tallest hillock in the vicinity and has coconut orchard and traditional waterbody (Kanmoi) irrigation systems. One of the seven great patrons - Paari Vallal lived here and he’s well known for giving away his chariot to support a jasmine climber plant that was struggling to grow. Early Pandya Period 7th Century, 8th century BC Sivan temple are here with rock cut caves in the top of the hillock with lots of stone inscriptions. A religious harmony of dharga and temple is in the top of hill.
